Meet the potter
I am Meg Carpenter and I have spent the last 30 wonderful years teaching kindergarten. I am excited to begin a new chapter doing something else that I love - creating with clay and sharing my love of art with others.
I enjoy pottery because it is relaxing and allows me to be expressive. I love the process of taking a ball of clay and using my hands to create it into something beautiful and also functional. My favorite part is being creative through glazing, adding color, and hand-sculpting details that makes each piece unique.
Teaching has always been a huge part of who I am. I am so excited to be able to continue to teach others something that I am passionate about. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and watching the excitement that comes when someone creates something with their hands for the first time.
My hope is to create a space where you can slow down, get a little messy, try something new, and discover the joy of working with clay. I can’t wait to meet you, teach you, laugh with you, and share my love of art through pottery. Come get your hands dirty with me!
